What's New in CartFlows

A focused patch this round, but an important one. Two fixes that directly affect revenue: upsells and downsells no longer get blocked by session expired errors, and offer pages stop showing up at the wrong time when dynamic checkout rules don’t match.

If you run upsells, downsells, or dynamic checkout rules, update as soon as you can.

What’s Fixed?

• Session Expired error during upsells and downsells. Some customers were hitting a “session expired” error when AJAX calls fired during the upsell or downsell step, which silently blocked the offer from going through. Every blocked upsell was lost revenue. The session handling has been fixed, so AJAX calls now complete reliably and customers see the offer they’re meant to see.
• Offer pages no longer show when dynamic checkout rules don’t match. If your dynamic checkout rules didn’t match a customer’s cart and no default step was configured, the offer page was still being displayed instead of falling back gracefully. Customers will now only see an offer when the rules say they should, and the routing behaves predictably when no fallback is set.

We recommend updating to CartFlows Pro v2.2.4 as soon as you can to make sure your upsell flow and dynamic routing are working as intended.

A focused release this round. CartFlows Pro now speaks to AI assistants through the WordPress Abilities API, login-based checkout targeting got a lot easier to set up, and we cleaned up a few PHP warnings that were cluttering the admin and block editor.

What’s New?

• CartFlows Pro now works with the WordPress Abilities API. This is the foundation that lets AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor read and act on your CartFlows Pro setup using plain English. Pair it with the same addition in CartFlows core and you can manage flows, offers, and Pro-only settings through conversation instead of clicking through screens.

What’s Improved?

• Simpler User Login Status condition in Dynamic Conditions. Targeting checkouts to logged-in or logged-out visitors used to take a few extra steps. There’s now a clean User Login Status condition built right into Dynamic Conditions, so you can show different offers, upsells, or order bumps to returning customers vs first-time visitors without the workaround.

What’s Fixed?

• PHP warnings in the admin area and block editor are gone. A handful of notice-level warnings were showing up in debug logs and occasionally in the block editor sidebar. Cleaned up, so your error logs stay quieter and the editor stays focused on what you’re building.

Security Update

• Security Hardening Improvements. Strengthened plugin stability and added safeguards across key features to protect against potential vulnerabilities.

What’s New?

• Power Coupons in the Addons page. Power Coupons now shows up directly on the CartFlows Addons page, so you can activate it in one click without leaving the dashboard or hunting through the plugin directory.
• Control CartFlows with AI (Abilities API Integration). CartFlows now plugs into the WordPress Abilities API, which means AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor can read and act on your CartFlows setup using plain English.
  • “Show me my top three flows by conversion this month” answered in seconds.
  • “Duplicate my Black Friday flow and rename it for Cyber Monday” done in one prompt.
  • No more clicking through five screens to do something you can describe in one sentence.

What’s Fixed?

• Store Checkout settings now persist on Multisite subsites. If you run CartFlows across a network, your Store Checkout configuration was quietly resetting on subsites after save. It now saves and stays saved.

Security Update

• Security Hardening Improvements. Strengthened plugin security with additional hardening measures to protect against potential vulnerabilities.
